The Neon Dead

Privacy Policy

Effective July 4, 2026 · Developed by Ross Kuehl

The short version: The Neon Dead doesn't track you, doesn't show ads, and doesn't share your data with anyone. Almost everything the game stores never leaves your device.

What the game never does:

What the game stores, and where

On your device
Your progress, settings, unlocks, and high scores are saved locally on your device.
In your iCloud (optional)
If you're signed into iCloud, your save data syncs across your Apple devices through Apple's iCloud. It stays in your private iCloud account — the developer cannot see it. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Game Center (optional)
If you play with Game Center, your leaderboard scores and achievements are handled by Apple's Game Center under Apple's Privacy Policy. The game receives only the scores and achievement status Game Center provides.

Optional, anonymous analytics

The game may offer a setting to share anonymous run summaries — for example, how long a run lasted or which upgrades you chose — to help balance and improve the game. It is off by default, contains no personal information, and is never linked to your identity. You can turn it on or off anytime in the game's Settings.

How this information is used

Only to run the game — save your progress, sync it across your devices, and show leaderboards — and, if you opt in, to improve game balance. Nothing else.

Children's privacy

The Neon Dead does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. No personal information is required to play.

Third-party services

The only external services The Neon Dead uses are Apple's own — iCloud and Game Center — governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Changes to this policy
